Tankoa Yachts has introduced its latest 80-metre superyacht concept, S801. Designed by Francesco Paszkowski and dubbed ‘Golden Wings’, the yacht is Paszkowski’s reinterpretation of the Amerigo Vespucci, an Italian sail training ship built in 1931, which the yard hails as “Italy’s most famous and beautiful ship”.
The yacht is the first model in a platform that can be extended to 88 metres. In the 80-metre version shown, full use is made of the 13.5-metre beam on the main deck, creating an enormous salon. Five VIP suites live forward on this deck, with the owner’s area on the deck above including a private spa/sauna and massage area, and an office.
“The aim of the S801/S881 project is to bring to the marketplace a different approach. We’ve seen over the past few years a number of out-of-the-box designs being launched. Most of them were trendy but looked outdated after a couple of years. With this new project, we are bringing a radically new design that retains the classic basics of an elegant superyacht. It will surely give the project a long-lasting, appealing elegance, so that any yacht buyer can achieve the best possible resale value,” says Michel Karsenti, president of Yacht-Ology, which represents Tankoa Yachts.
