Rossinavi's 49-metre Polaris – featured in the current issue of SuperYacht World – is shown in this behind-the-scenes video launching last year.
The 49-metre aluminium Polaris is the second Rossinavi Prince Shark on the water, following the 2013 Param Jamuna. A striking aspect of the exterior is what designer Enrico Gobbi of Team For Design says are “the dynamic details”. The severe forward rake of the wheelhouse windows is one of those details, a purposeful feature that is more than just a functional touch – it’s integral to the exterior design, in which angles generally remain unsoftened by curves.
Tony Lovec, the owner’s representative and the yacht’s manager, calls Polaris a yacht that is perfect for “the right place at the right time – August in Porto Cervo or Portofino, and September in Monaco and St Tropez.” She’s certainly had a busy season. “The owner of Polaris really likes to spend his time cruising and visiting as many different places as he can,” says Tony. This season, things are looking just as busy.
